#45 Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Burgers
If you wanted a healthier version, I'm sure this would work with minced turkey.

1 lb hamburger mince
1/2 finely chopped onion
1 C shredded cheddar cheese
4 pieces of bacon, cooked, crumbled or snipped into small pieces
Season salt to taste (I use Mc Cormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning)
3 buns
any burger fixings you like
Mix the season salt into the hamburger meat. Divide the hamburger into 6 equal-size balls. Flatten each ball into a patty. In a small bowl, mix together onion, bacon and cheese. Put a mound of the cheese mixture (about 2 TBSP) on 3 of the patties. Take the other patties and place one on top of each mounded patty and seal the edges. You should have 3 burgers that look like half a baseball. Heat a fry pan to medium heat and fry each burger, about 4-5 mins per side. The cheese may ooze a little bit out of the side, but the burger shouldn't come apart. Once cooked, drain on paper towel and serve atop a bun with all your favorite fixins. Serves 3 hearty hamburgers. Serve right away, while hot.
Taste: 5/5 Great!
Brit-rating: GREAT-ed it. "Nice. Very nice."
Serve to guests: Yes, and I would love to try these on a grill.
Possible variation: If you like hot and spicy, try mixing the cheese/bacon mixture with a few diced green chliis or use Mexican cheese

I probably cooked them wrong, but the were the best tasting burgers I have ever had!
